Rajasthan Heritage Tour

 

Day 1: Arrive - Delhi :
Welcome to India- a country where hospitality is a way of life ; to a culture steeped in tradition, a land where history lives in music and dance. Our representative will receive you at the airport in a traditional manner with garlands and escort you to your hotel for overnight stay.

Day 2: Delhi - Jaipur :
Morning after an early breakfast proceed for short combine sightseeing of an Old and New Delhi. Visit: Jama Masjid, Raj Ghat, Drive past President's house and India Gate. Further drive down to Jaipur (255 Kms). Upon arrival check in at hotel for an Overnight stay.

Day 3: Jaipur - Jodhpur
Morning after breakfast, we will take you for a guided exploration of The Classical Amber Fort - Splendid fort constructed in a scenic locale. An inner paradise where a beautiful fusion of Mughal and Hindu styles finds its ultimate refinement. Enjoy an elephant ride while climbing up a top of the hill or Fort. Afternoon pay a visit to the City Palace - (the main palace which is an imposing blend of traditional Rajasthan and Mughal architecture), Jantar Mantar - (The Observatory). On the way back to hotel photo stop for Hawa Mahal - (The Wind Palace). Evening at Leisure . Later on departure transfer to Railway station on time to board a train to Jodhpur (D:2350 Hrs). Overnight on Board.

Day 4: Jodhpur
Meeting upon arrival at Jodhpur railway station (A:0630 Hrs) and transfer to hotel. After some rest set you turn for the city tour of Jodhpur City. Visit: Mahrangarh Fort - (Situated on a steep hill, Mehrangarh fort is one of the largest forts in India. The beauty and the grandeur of numerous palaces in the fort narrates a saga of hard sandstones yielding to the chisels of skilled Jodhpuri sculptures), Jaswant Thada- ( located half way up the interminably long road that climbs onwards to the fort, is the traditional cremation ground of the rulers of Jodhpur). Mandore Garden - The beautiful garden has few Cenotaphs of Jodhpur's former rulers and small temples. Evening return to Hotel for an Overnight stay.

Day 6: Jodhpur - Manvar
Morning after an early breakfast drive down to Manvar (100 Kms) - It is located right in the heart of the Great Indian Thar Desert. It lies between the cities of Jodhpur, Jaisalmer & Bikaner. Upon arrival check in at Resort. Late afternoon explore the Manvar City by your own, witness the thousands of wild Demoiselle cranes being fed by the local population and also see some beautiful red sandstone havelis. Evening enjoy Jeep safari at Bishnoi Village. Return back to Resort for an Overnight stay.

Day 7: Manvar - Jaisalmer
Morning after a relaxed breakfast further proceed your drive to Jaisalmer (230 Kms) - An important ancient trading centre because of its strategic location on the camel trade routes, is often described as the "Golden City". Upon arrival check in at hotel. Evening enjoy your Camel ride in Sand Dunes and witness the Sunset where the sky is set on fire. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 8: Jaisalmer :
Morning after breakfast proceed for the full day sightseeing of Jaisalmer. Visit: Jaisalmer Fort - (Also known as Sonar Quila which means rising from the sand, This golden - yellow sandstone of Fort is 800 years old), Desert National Park - (This is really an excellent example of the ecosystem of the Thar Desert and its rich fauna,Its inhabitants include the blackbuck, chinkara, wolf, Indian fox, desert fox, hare and desert cat.), Godi Sagar -(Lake in Jaisalmer befitting its importance in providing precious water to the inhabitants of this arid city and it is sourrounded by small temples and shrines). Overnight stay hotel.


Day 9: Jaisalmer - Bikaner :
Morning after an early breakfast drive down to Bikaner (280 Kms) - It is believe that if ever beauty has bloomed in a desert, it has been at Bikaner located in north west part of Rajasthan state in INDIA. Upon arrival check in at hotel. Late afternoon after some relaxation proceed to visit Camel Research and Breeding Farm - Which is located around 8 Kms away from the City Centre,Unbelievable that these farm extends over 2000 acres of semi arid landand it utilizes various adaptive mechanisms that are most suited to desert life. Return to hotel for an Overnight stay.

Day 10: Bikaner - Pushkar :
Morning after breakfast proceed for a city tour of Bikaner. Visit: Lallgarh Palace - (which is located 3km north of the city centre, this red sandstone palace has beautiful latticework and filigree work). Junagarh Fort - ( The palaces is exquisitely built in red sandstone and marble are ornate with mirror work, carvings and paintings). Further drive down to Pushkar (250 Kms) - An important religious place for Hindus. Upon arrival check in at hotel for an Overnight stay.

Day 11: Pushkar - Ranthambhore:
Morning after breakfast set your turn for the short sightseeing of Pushkar. Visit: Brahma Temple - (The most famous is the Brahma Temple, said to be the only temple in the world dedicated to this deity) and Holy Pushkar Lake. After the sightseeing drive down to Ranthambhore National Park (230 Kms) - The park, which is one of the finest tiger reserves in the country Park's abandoned fortress,lakes and above all it's `friendly' tigers have made it one of the most filmed wildlife reserves in the world. Upon arrival check in at hotel. (Evening if time permits enjoy the Jeep Safari inside the Park).

Day 12: Ranthambhore:
Morning and afternoon enjoy the Jeep Safari inside the National Park. Rest of the day at Leisure.Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 13: Ranthambore - Agra:
Early morning drive down to Agra (270 Kms) - The home of the Taj...the jewel of Muslim art across the world. Upon arrival check in at hotel. Late afternoon visit Agra Fort - which stands as a citadel of the past that has witnessed centuries slip by...More often than not, the Agra Fort is overshadowed by the pristine beauty of the Taj, but for those looking for something beyond romance, the Agra Fort is worth seeing. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 14: Agra - Delhi
Early morning visit Taj Mahal at Sun rise - The Taj is the most beautiful monument built by the Mughals, the Muslim rulers of India and is built entirely of white marble. After the sightseeing back to hotel for breakfast and further drive down to Delhi. Upon arrival rest of the day at leiure and free for Independent activities. Evening after Farewell Dinner departure trnasfer to an International airport to board a flight for onward destination. Tour Ends
